Hen Scratch is a collection of essays and stories I've written since 1996 while living and working in southern Virginia. The stories capture many moments of day to day life in our family. Hopefully, you will find these tales humorous.
Special thanks go to the chickens in our hen house at Gamewood including Stripey, Genu, Whip Cream, Blacky, Rooster, Brownie and the 29 Guinea Fowl who inspire some of the stories. They made me start writing again. |
